IOTA Institute
IbifiriWari collaborates with IOTA Institute in support of selected touring exhibitions and cultural projects, contributing arts management and coordination expertise across institutional and public contexts.
Selected projects include:
Souvenir
A touring solo exhibition by Mi’kmaw artist Jordan Bennett, curated by Aiden Gillis and Emma Hassencahl Perley, presenting paintings and site-specific installations in conversation with historical Mi’kmaw quillwork traditions. Through archival research, conversations with knowledge keepers, and engagement with the land, the exhibition explored history, heritage, memory, and cultural continuity through immersive visual experiences.
We tend to care
A multimedia exhibition by artist Carrie Allison examining the colonial histories embedded within landscapes, green spaces, and practices of care and maintenance. Drawing from a decade of artistic inquiry, the project engaged with questions of land, ownership, Indigenous sovereignty, and possibilities for liberated futures, situating everyday landscapes within broader conversations around anti-colonial and abolitionist practices.
IbifiriWari supported these projects through exhibition tour management, production coordination, stakeholder engagement, and implementation support across multiple venues and contexts. Our work together reflects a shared commitment to thoughtful cultural practice and public engagement.
